Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about dreadlocks / locs at Blessed Hair Braiding & Locs.
How long does it take to start locs?▾
A starter loc appointment takes 3–6 hours depending on your hair's length and density. We offer palm roll, two-strand twist, and interlocking start methods.
How often should I get my locs retwisted?▾
Most clients retwist every 4–8 weeks. Retwisting too frequently can cause thinning at the root; too infrequently causes frizz and potential unraveling.
Will locs damage my hair?▾
No — locs are one of the most hair-friendly protective styles when properly maintained. They require minimal manipulation and promote length retention.
Where are you located?▾
We are located at 48 Kathryn Ave, Florence, KY 41042. Serving Florence, Erlanger, Fort Mitchell, Covington, and the Greater Cincinnati area.
Do you require a deposit to book?▾
Yes, a 25% deposit is required to secure your appointment. The deposit is applied to your total service cost.
What is your cancellation policy?▾
Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment forfeit the deposit. We understand emergencies happen — please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
